Ameren Missouri CheckMe Plus Program for Installing
High-Efficiency Air Conditioners & Heat Pumps

The Ameren Missouri CheckMe Plus Program encourages residential electric customers to have existing heating and cooling systems evaluated and tuned-up to meet manufacturers’ specifications for optimal performance. This program also encourages individuals to replace outdated HVAC systems with new high-efficiency air conditioners and heat pumps. Maintenance services included in this program include recharging the cooling refrigerant, providing non-duct work airflow adjustments, coil cleaning, and basic filter cleaning or replacement.

The Ameren Missouri CheckMe Plus Program includes rebates and incentives for a number of services that improve the overall efficiency and performance of an HVAC system and consequently result in reduced energy consumption. For example, if you:

• Replace an existing HVAC system or heat pump for a new qualifying high-efficiency air conditioner or heat pump, you may qualify to receive a $650 - $850 rebate.
• Tune up your existing air conditioner to improve efficiency, you may qualify to receive a $25 - $55 rebate.
• Test and seal your HVAC ducts, you may qualify to receive a $200 - $300 rebate.
• Replace your existing heat pump thermostat with a lock out thermostat, you may qualify to receive a $25 - $75 rebate.
• Upgrade the indoor fan or blower motor on your HVAC unit to a Concept 3 motor, you may qualify to receive a $200 rebate.

How Does the Ameren Missouri CheckMe Plus Program Work?

When replacing an existing air conditioner with a new, high-efficiency air conditioner, the CheckMe Plus Program is a simple two step process. Because Holiday Heating and Cooling is an approved Ameren Missouri CheckMe Plus Program contractor, we can help guide individuals through this process in order to help them receive special replacement rebates and incentives.

The first step in the replacement process is to have a certified contractor perform a test on your existing and operational air conditioning unit in order to evaluate the system’s refrigerant level, airflow level, and operating efficiency. This test will determine if you are eligible to receive a rebate for the replacement of your system with a new, high-efficiency air conditioner. If your system is eligible, the second step is to work with a HVAC contractor to select the new high-efficiency system that will work best for you. When this system is installed and tested you will receive either a $650 or $850 instant rebate from the contractor.
